What is the meaning of this verse of the scriptures:  2 Timothy 2:15?


"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

A beautiful morning to all readers and I greet you with Heavenly blessings in Jesus name.
We are looking at this verse tentatively. We also try to be objective in part. 

When we say, study, it does not mean to flip through or read through or read aloud. None of these means somebody really engages the mind to pay close attention to what is being read. 

Most times we read a signpost or see a newspaper but without a main point to hold but just to foster our minds to see what was written not probably to take any action. In the events of reading,  a pause at times can create a moment of meditation around what is being read when you strike a chord in your sense to hold on, this period you strike the moment to really study. 

What is the aim?
The aim of the writer is that this proposed study decided by the reader is therefore to show out to God who is the Subject matter here, as the Only Righteous judge to whom we will give account on  the judgement day - that you as a workman in the Vineyard  has taken your time to know through study of the Word and have been  examined by nature, circumstances and tests that you are not ashamed to speak the truth as a result of what you have read.  The Truth has impacted you, it has brought to life the truth for other men to honor it and doing so right by making them understand every bit of God's word. 

This verse means that God is seeking men who will stay with Him to read about Him and get all the information pertaining to life and godliness hence be able to share to men the values embedded in knowing God and working to know Him further in Truth and Spirit. 
With these few points, we will take a pause to study further from versions of the Bible Sscripture 2 Timothy 2::15.
