JUST IN: Twitter locks Simon Ekpa’s account

Social media company, Twitter, has locked the Twitter account of controversial Biafra agitator, Simon Ekpa.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Ekpa was sanctioned for alleged incitement of violence in Nigeria from his base abroad.



Checks by this newspaper on Ekpa’s known Twitter account which has over 60, 000 followers showed that his last tweet activity was on Tuesday afternoon – atypical of him.

Several persons averse to Ekpa’s agenda are believed to have petitioned Twitter, as Ekpa uses the platform to pursue the Biafra cause and lately, declared a five-day sit-at-home.

This newspaper reports that the five-day sit-at-home which ended on Wednesday was bloody in Imo, Enugu and Ebonyi states.

Ekpa, who described himself as a disciple of now-detained IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kani, is widely-perceived as toxic and the mastermind of the nefarious activities of the so-called ‘Unknown Gunmen’ in Nigeria’s southeast region.

Although he claims to be a resident of Finland, this newspaper cannot independently verify this.

Meanwhile, Nigerians from all over the world are signing a petition urging the Finnish government, the Nigerian government, and the European Union (EU) to immediately arrest Ekpa over his alleged involvement in the recent horrific sit-at-home in the south east.

I don’t know someone will be in Finland and be instigating people here in Nigeria

We told them that Biafra agitation is political and they refute it.
However Obi presidential aspiration has open up the rationale behind the agitation going by the desperation of the once Biafra agitators to see that Obi aspiration is not jeopardize.


Pls when Obi loses in 2023 let's all maintain decorum and be patriotic to defend Nigeria from the unscrupulous hoodlums.

It's true. locked out and suspension are not the same. In this case, your account can be found while you won't be able to post. The finland coward and agent provocateur has been kicked out of twitter after boasting no one can do that.
