Why didn't I see this all along before i preorder?

I have cancelled and requested for a refund..
How long before I get it
Starlink processes refunds instantly. Any delay is from your financial institution. It typically shouldn't take more than a day or two.

Starlink Elders in the house, I'm thinking of switching from microtik to starlink for a hotel with 50 rooms, is it a wise move? If yes please how do I proceed?

I have applied for a refund since June 8 but have not gotten my money. I saw on the FAQ that I could take up to 15 business days, should I contact support?

I ordered my Starlink from Jumia and I reside in Omoku/Rivers State where I'm making use of the device.
Prior to mounting the device, at ground level when I did my speed test I got about 79 Mbps after mounting the device on a pole I was expecting to get at least above 100Mbps to my utmost surprise the speed dropped to below 70 Mpbs.

Please gurus in the house I need your help on how to troubleshoot the problem
Split your 2.4ghz and 5ghz.
Probably your phone wifi radio doesn't support the 5ghz channel Starlink is currently on. This is why i had to get the ethernet adapter and a third party router. You can't really do much on the Starlink router other than complain to customer support.

Not really. You need something faster like fiber.

My location in Abuja is showing "Starlink at capacity...." trash but I have been using it since may 10th without issues. If your device isn't already registered to kwara, then you can use it here in Abuja.

Thanks. I have received my unit from Konga but

GTB and UBA card payments were both declined - Naira.

I tried GTB dollar ... declined also.

How can I pay to buy a plan and activate my device ? Thanks!

Please any recommendations for power backup that is reliable and cost effective?

I am looking to get a 50k bluegate ups or something in that range. I just need a reliable power backup for my starlink that can provide 1 hour of uptime only, but can do so consistently for a long time

I just need something for minor power interruptions. Rarely longer than 30 minutes. But long term reliability is my fear.

Any experienced person to give their take or recommended alternatives?
have you checked the power ratings on uiur starlink? 70 ahms battery, 150watts solar panel and 500-1.2kva inverter box should keep you going long term. Just my opinion

Please can I ask a question?

On the Starlinks website, it shows my location in Kwara State is available....

I plan to pack my unit and take it to my location in Abuja ( where i am. But my location in FCT shows the attached....

I am worried that it might not work.

My unit is on the way to Kwara from Konga.

Roaming plan should work, but cost more

Make sure your Starlink is powered ON and in clear view of the sky while you’re in the process of activating

Thanks a lot. Took me 8 hrs. Finally figured it out. The greatest issue was payment + activation.

The simple fix : do it on laptop instead of phone.

Someone will find this information useful in the future...

I saw it somewhere on this thread page 30 or 50 something

shocked Woah, Starlink Mini shocked
I'm sold.
Once it's available in Nigeria, I'm snapping it up without hesitation.
Best part for me is that it can use DC power.

After downloading a file via torrent, you become a seeder. You're sharing the same file for other peers to download too by uploading the file during and after download is completed. So more seeders (SE), higher the download speed. More leechers (LE), reduced download speed. Basic P2P stuff.
Here's the thing, when you're seeding a torrent, your IP is visible to everyone. So companies do have reps that monitor popular torrents, grab the active seeder IP addresses and send to their ISP. Some get fines too sometimes.
Here's what I do since i don't want to use a VPN with my Qbittorrent or get a seedbox. I set my QB to only upload while I'm downloading a file. Once a download is completed, it automatically queues for seeding and won't upload again.
Leaving that last part open is what gets you in trouble.

Please, has anybody bought Starlink from their official website lately, got it delivered soon and successfully activated normal Residential plan on it?

My ungodly 3months data plan with MTN is ending soon so I am preparing to port to Starlink before MTN takes my life with bad Internet network

I normally don't ANYTHING at all on phone.

I am worried about compromised security and the fact that the layout of many websites... you can't view them on the phone as well you would on the laptop.

But the setup, remember you start with an APP..so I just continued the whole process there and spent the whole night flummoxed. angry

This is very helpful for those that got the mail on AUP.
However if you are not the only user, others may not be able to do this. I think alternatively, split the network for other users and set content auto-filtering to ON.

PLEASE BE GUIDED ACCORDINGLY

Did you order from Starlink or bought from Jumia or Konga?
I am torn between ordering from Jumia/Konga for which I will be stuck with a more expensive roaming plan or rather join the waiting list (which entitles me to Residential, cheaper by 10k) for which I have no idea when it may get to me? Can someone give me a candid advice?

This happened to me before.

I first placed my order but it was showing full capacity that I have to wait. I chatted the customer care and they couldn't tell me when it would be available at my location. So I cancelled the order, placed another other but chose an available location closest to my place but used my home address. It got to me and I activated it without any issues.

Personally I am more confident dealing directly with starlink than any of their accredited partners be it jumia or konga.

True. One of the reasons why I got a third party router. Better control and monitoring and other users are basically connected to my guest network.
