A businessman named Augustine Okoye was abducted and assassinated over the weekend in Ugbe, Akoko North East Local Government Area, Ondo State.

It was said that the deceased, a well-known cosmetics dealer in the state’s Ikare-Akoko axis, was assassinated after an undisclosed amount of money was paid as ransom.

On their route to Isua town, Okoye and his wife were kidnapped on the Isua-Ise Akoko highway. Sources claim that after receiving a ransom from the family, the kidnappers released the wife and killed the businessman...
