One thing about Ama2000 (those born after the year 2000), they are free-spirited and faking who they are, is something you should forget about.

A group of Ama2000 initiates have proven just that after a photograph of them surfaced embracing who they are in a very unconventional set-up.

The youngsters covered in white water paint caused a stir and brought the entire initiation school fuss into question.

Some asked on social media, whether are they there to become responsible Men or Women.

What happens on the mountain

Centy Lee said: “This pic says a lot about the trip to the mountains that I’ve suspected for a while now. What happens up there because some they come back like this?”

Nhlanhla Mabhudi said: “I like the way they take this practice this is no longer about making man but just passing the grade alive without stress”.

None of them are faking their way of life

Another initiation shocker in the era of Ama2000 was Cwenga Titi who became the first Transwoman to undergo an IsiXhosa initiation rite last month.

The 18-year-old Grade 11 pupil from Thembalethu High School in the Eastern Cape braved it all to embark on the traditional rite of passage to manhood which she took after completing her final exams.

Her homecoming at the end of December, which has been publicised on social media, will be one-of-a-kind.
