From personal experience, i have complained about the typing speed of some developers in the past. My question is - should a programmer be able to type with great speed or not? I will like to know your views. |

LOL, why was I expecting a developer typing tutor application? I type with great speed with my eyes off the keys when coding. I may have to look back at the keys when I hit "if" blocks and need to || and &&. I think speed depends on your keyboard/keypad orientation. I always have some catching up to speed to do whenever I change my laptop cuz the size and position of the right "shift" button, "Enter" button and the location of < > ? keys differ considerably across laptops. I presently use a hp probook and the key layout is the best ever, i don't intend to change to a different brand. . . would jst keep upgrading to the latest affordable probook. |
