Can a Nigerian company use their Nigerian business registration to do business in South Africa without having to register in SA?

Hi all,

Please note that there is an exception to a foreign company registering in Nigeria. In most cases, such exceptions are usually given to foreign companies invited to carry out a specific project by either tier of governments. There are other exceptions.

@ OP, you have to register your SA company afresh in Nigeria.

Thanks.

thanks for the insight. What if i want to act through an independent company as a subsidiary will it work?We want to do the the training aspect first then survey the market for our service, before registering. Please kindly shed more light on this for me

Yeah, you can collaborate for training as well as survey. I know a lot of local companies that can do both (respectively) however, going FORWARD, you cannot do business in Nigeria as a foreign company without registration or exemption.
