HomoSapiien:
It’d be unreasonable for anyone to protest again fuel subsidy now.

Fuel subsidy must go for the greater good to come.

aside the subsidy, what other benefit ordinary Nigerians are enjoying from the govt? yes subsidy should but we the current set up, it shouldn't. this is the only thing the govt is offering the poor masses

One of the few reasonable things he has said so far!

Yet, he is a bloody hypocrite!

He instigated protests against Jonathan over this same subsidy removal...!

Subsidy that would have become history by now, you and your minions shut down the whole country saying subsidy was a scam. 10 years later you are now claiming you will remove the same subsidy.

That is how to spot a scammer

IFSHR:

On Monday 2, 2012, Alhaji Ahmed Bola Tinubu and his minions led a protest christened Occupy Nigeria against the removal of subsidy by then President Goodluck Jonathan.

Then, fuel was to cost 140 naira per litre as a result of the subsidy removal. And the government in power then introduced what it called Subsidy Reinvestment Programme (SURE-P). The program was going to ensure the rolling out of govt sponsored transport vehicles that run cheaper than others. Another thing the program was to do was to introduce a scheme that would empower youths with startup capital (not 5k chewing gum money) through a merit pool. But the protest scuttled this wonderful policy and ensured that we will continue with the evil of subsidy until a later date when we will still bear the brunt.

Peter obi for president

"Is your age in December 2022 the same as it was in 2015? Haven't you grown up? If you have increased in years since 2025, for example, why should you expect a different growth rate for fuel and rice? I'm sure your mind is too thin to grasp the logic of that!"

They protested because removing subsidy then was inauspicious. Now is the time. (Cursed be he who curses or abuses me just for expressing my opinion in a democracy.)

Then was the perfect time because living costs were not as high as they are today.

Do you have any idea what subsidy removal will do to an average Nigerian today?!! Compare it to 2012!

Whoever wins, fuel subsidy is history. Whoever wins, Naira will be right-valued to the dollar. Under Tinubu, this will be done without any consideration or o the masses whatsoever.

My advise is for anyone with savings to convert to dollar asap. Naira is about to trade well above 1000/$ very soon

No deceit, no pretence whatsoever. Only the best way to conduct the affairs of government. Glad that it shall end in prosperity. Meanwhile, cursed be the man or woman who shall come to derail this happy thread with slander, unbelief, resort to better forgotten past, and sundry denigration. Nigeria MUST be made great again - not by outbursts of the emotions, clannishness or death-wish for our rivals so that our Candidate can have an easy ride to the Villa.

Apart from supporting Tinubu, what other wicked things do you do?

It just that the truth s very bitter in our hears...why will Nigeria be truly subsiding petrol neighboring countries while some since of them did not even have this crude we are talking about here?
Only if we understand fully what fuel subsidy really mean.

Oando owned by his family is our biggest subsidy queen
TSL logistics owned by his late son, Jide, is the number 1 logistics provider to OANDO, Mobil, and co ..is greatest recipient of PEF

From what I understand about this subsidy of a thing, the subsidy is not the problem but the corrupt practices which they have used subsidy to exploit. Why not research, identify, block loopholes and criminalise export of fuel to neighbouring countries. Only NNPC should export for the purpose of generating income for the government just like the crude oil.
Nigerians should not be deprived of their only what seems to be welfare benefits

With his brilliancy in politics, Tinubu will surely look for other means to alleviate poverty, I'm very sure of that.

Carry on Jagaban, 2023 is a done deal.
