The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have rejected the planned moves by the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu to totally remove fuel subsidy if he emerges as the President of Nigeria in 2023.
The labour unions stated that it is wrong for any government to contemplate such a move.

The unions made their positions known when a former Chairman of NLC in Cross River State, John Ushie spoke on the development in Calabar during a Labour Party campaign rally.

He said; “We are completely against the removal of fuel subsidy.

“It is very wrong for any government to even contemplate it.

“Let the government fix all the nation’s refineries first of all before they can begin to think about subsidy removal. Let the government think towards refining our crude oil locally.”

Shame. This is not even from NLC or TUC. Just one former guy talking nonsense on the campaign ground.

When Buhari was selected to be in Aso Rock, he only said he will focus on security, economy and corruption. It was the ignorant freeloaders on his campaign team that were talking about 1naira to I dollar.

Whenever you see a candidate talking about moing heaven and earth; just know that he has no chance of becoming president, hence the reason for his tales of two cities speech.

Tinubu is now sounding like the candidate of SDP. While Obi is now dodgy and careful with what he's promising. That's what being put in a room with a rep of the cabal will do to you.

Maybe this version of NLC live in Antarctica for them not to know that Dangote refinery will be functional next year.

Even Port Harcourt refinery will be functional early next year too. So what do they mean by “first” like they don’t know the plan?

Tinubu is a bold politician and when elected, he will negotiate with the same NLC and bring them on board to show them the benefit and then get their cooperation. That is who he is.

Tinubu will give them the EndSars treatment if they protest subsidy removal.

Remember what he said when asked about the EndSars victims? "What were they doing there in the first place"

You can't change power from a dictator to another dictator and claim that you want what's best for Nigeria

Support Peter Obi for a better Nigeria. It's not rocket science, it's common sense.

You're referring to how Tinubu built and upgraded all the hospitals in Lagos; but still needs to fly to London for oil change and servicing.

The next four years will be very long for you. You'd better hope he doesn't get eight years, or you'll Amy Winehouse your life.
