The high prices of birds in the market is in no way a fault of poultry owners.

If y'all had any idea as regards the sickening hike in the prices of poultry feeds, even from the manufacturing companies, you'll understand that most farmers make a basic profit of 1200 naira per fowl.

Considering how profitable the business was 5 to 10 years ago, these farmers now, barely stay in the business for lack of other means of livelihood.

Even if the current exchange rate, 6 to 7kg whole turkey here is from 18 to 20k and this is far cry from last year cos foodstuffs prices increased.
