But a condition of the deal is that the buying club covers his entire wage until the end of the season.

The two Premier League sides now stand better chances of sealing an amazing bargain transfer for Felix.

The Portuguese forward is certain to leave the Spanish side in January as the player's relationship with manager Diego Simeone is at breaking point.

The Liga side also need to get the World Cup star off their payroll to stay within Financial Fair Play regulations.

Arsenal and Manchester United are especially interested in the forward, while Chelsea are also said to be monitoring the situation.
