Please remove that gorilla. I will attack a link where you can view direct comparison between a lion and a Gorilla. They live in the same ecosphere but Lions are the king in that ecosphere.

I would rank Lions and Tigers on the same level simply because they don't belong to the same ecosphere or habitat. Tigers might seem more powerful but tigers would find it hard to survive and Lions will comfortably thrive if they were to switch habitats. Please note that this experiment has been done before and it's results showed that Lions can survive anywhere, bringing down any preys but in the savannah where Lions are kings, Tigers find it hard to survive. Amazingly, this was due to the simple fact that Tigers were unable to bring down some of the huge animals in the savannah that the lions would handle easily.

Now lions are group hunters while tigers hunt alone. But on several occasions, a single lion would veer off from it's group and hunt alone.

In the end it all depends on the size of the lion and tiger. The African male lion in it's prime will comfortably bring down any tiger while the male Siberian tiger might be able to bring down any Lion as well.

It's complex but beyond head to head fights, lions seem to have capabilities to handle more preys and even fight off other lions. Let's accept it...The jungle king is a lion.

The tiger is the strongest cat and all things being equal will defeat the lion any day any time. More muscle mass, more weight, bigger canine, more bite force, more paw strength, fights on the legs unlike the lion that fights on 3. The only advantage lion has is stamina
