Solomon's son, Rehoboam, had 18 wives and 60 concubines, while Abijah had 14 wives. Jesus' ministry in the New Testament was in the midst of a culture that practised it and he never once denounced it. In fact, in none of God's word to any of His prophets that He had direct conversation with did He ever outlaw or condemn the practice unequivocally.
In my religion (Islam), God did not disallow the practice of polygamy, He only reduced the number of wives to maximum of four (4) wives (Quran 4 verse 3).

Although, I may not be able to convince you about the legality and permissibility of Polygamy, but at least I'm sure you're convinced that man will certainly revert to polygamy in the end times as prophesied in the Bible. Prophet Isaiah gave account of what will happen without condemning the practice because the Lord Himself will make men scarce. Which means that man shall be forced to embrace polygamy whether we like it or not.

Polygamy which wasn't God's plan from the onset, turned out to be God's plan in the end time.
