Calling on all who have made a move from the UK/US back to Nigeria. What is a reasonable package (salary + allowances) to ask of a prospective employer? Comparators would be appreciated from people in senior level advertising advertising, communications and the like.

Mature responses only and please no insults! Many thanks.

Wow, seems the forum has earned itself a rep for name calling embarassed

Anyways, I am not a returnee, but I can say a thing or two. The field for marketing comms is quite wide and prosperous in Nigeria. You can either work in an agency or with the marketing department of an FMCG. For mid and senior level marketing managers, a gross salary of around 8-12 million is not out of place, especially in the more prosperous FMCGs, and telcos. For a marketing director position, it might just be twice that, depending on your experience.

I know a returnee that grossed something around 20m/annum for a creative director position at an agency in Lagos.
