The destruction of the terror tunnel through which Hamas terrorists tried to penetrate last June has been completed This week, the route from which four Hamas terrorists tried to enter the country last June was destroyed in the Rafah region. The infiltration attempt in June was successfully thwarted by the fighters of the desert patrol battalion, the fighters fought and exchanged fire with the terrorists and thus prevented an enemy infiltration. During this battle, the tracker of the southern brigade, Senior Sergeant Zeid Mazariv, was killed. The route was destroyed in a joint operation by the forces of the engineering unit of the 143rd division, the Yahalom unit and the desert patrol battalion in the southern division. The route is part of another route about 3 kilometers long that was destroyed by our forces in the past. Branches, side doors, living space and electrical infrastructures that were used by the Hamas terrorist organization were found along the route and were destroyed.
