British ministers are calling on allies to allow Ukraine to hit Russian territory with Storm Shadow cruise missiles at a range of up to 250 km, The Times writes.

Earlier, Zelensky said that Kiev should "provide (the West) with documents for permission to use long-range missiles in attacks on Russian territory." in a range of up to 300 km.

Storms could hit Kursk and Novorossiysk, Voronezh and the resorts of Krasnodar Krai, Belgorod, Crimea, and later "Latula"

In yesterday's attack on Marja'youn, where the Israeli army claimed attacking two Hezbullah members, several Christian locals were severely injured.

The Israeli drone strike critically injured the family, father Rolan, mother Jessie and their son Joe.

A mother of two has been left paraplegic after being shot by Iranian police over an alleged violation of the country's strict hijab rules, a source with knowledge of the case has told the BBC.

"She is paralysed from the waist down, and doctors have said it will take months to determine whether she will be permanently paraplegic or not."

Arezoo Badri, 31, was driving home with her sister in the northern city of Noor on 22 July when police attempted to pull her over to confiscate her car.
The driver did not comply with the order to stop, prompting the officers to shoot, the police commander in Noor told Iran's state-run news agency, without naming Ms Badri.

Military personnel from the Pokrovsk direction told Politico that after the start of the Kursk operation, the situation for them worsened. Including with the supply of shells.

"I would say the situation on our section of the front has worsened. We are getting even less ammunition than before, and the Russians are advancing," said Ivan Sekach of the 110th Mechanized Brigade.

A few words about the number of Palestinian dead in Gaza, which today officially crossed 40,000:

The number of terrorists that the IDF reports on since the beginning of the war is about 15,000 terrorists who were definitely ELIMINATED (that is, terrorists whose bodies the forces saw with their own eyes, and counted them one by one).


The IDF estimates that in addition to those TERRORISTS whose bodies were counted, there are many more whose bodies could not be seen and counted - such as terrorists who were killed in airstrikes on buildings, who were buried among the rubble, as well as terrorists who were killed in underground tunnels.

In a rough estimate, it can be estimated that there are still several thousand of them since the beginning of the war.

Hamas does not officially publish the number of terrorists killed in its ranks, and the numbers cited by the Gaza Ministry of Health are numbers that include both terrorists and civilians without distinction.

That is, the ratio between the number of terrorists killed and the number of civilians killed in Gaza is probably quite close to 1:1 (a civilian killed for every terrorist killed).
This is a ratio that is considered very good compared to other conflicts and wars in the world in recent decades.

It is common to compare the war in Gaza to other battles, in which Western armies (or those supported by the West) fought against terrorist organizations in a civilian and urban environment.

According to data published around the world, while in the Gaza war, about 50% of the dead are civilians,
in the Iraq war - 67% civilians, and in the Gulf War - 88%.
In Mosul in Iraq - between 9,000-11,000 civilians were killed, compared to 3,000-5,000 ISIS terrorists.
In Raqqa in Syria, about 4,100 civilians were killed, compared to about 1,900 from ISIS terrorists.

On the assumption that none of the data can be considered very reliable - one can only estimate with a general impression:
The IDF's kill ratio in Gaza is much lower than any other army, considering the urban nature of the fighting and the enemy being assimilated into the population.

In other wars where the nature of the fighting is completely different from that of the IDF - there are also better relations:
In the Russia-Ukraine war, for comparison, the rate of civilian casualties is about 30%, and a similar rate in the war in Afghanistan.

Prof. Amichai Cohen, a senior fellow at the Israel Democracy Institute, says in a conversation with Gali IDF that indeed, in a global comparison, the relationship between the armed and non-involved in the war that Israel is waging in Gaza is much better, but the main international criticism that is directed towards Israel does not concern the overall numbers, but specific events :
"The overall attitude is an important part of the picture because it shows that the IDF is careful to observe the rules, certainly when it encounters an enemy like Hamas, whose working method is to dig itself into the civilian population.
But the laws of war also examine events individually - and there are concrete cases that There is increasing international criticism." One should be careful when looking at the overall picture, suggests Prof. Cohen.

It is also interesting to examine the secondary arenas in which Israel has been fighting since October 7 - where the ratio of civilian casualties compared to terrorists is even much better, because the nature of the fighting there is of course very different from how Israel conducts itself in Gaza:

In Lebanon and Syria - according to the data of the security system that came to us, 583 dead - of which 413 were Hezbollah, 110 Palestinians and other terrorist organizations, and 59 civilians.
That is: 10% of the dead are civilians - 1 civilian for every 9 terrorists.
An attitude that indicates very careful and careful airstrikes by the IDF.

And in Judea and Samaria -
The number of Palestinian dead is about 610. Of these, according to IDF sources, about 20 of them are non-involved.
That is: 3% of the dead - non-involved .

Israel has reached the limit of its capabilities in the fight against Hamas in the Gaza Strip – The New York Times, citing US officials

The article states that the IDF military did much more than Washington expected of them: they achieved free movement in Gaza, took control of supplies from Egypt, and also eliminated half of the enemy's leaders.

However, the Jewish state will not be able to completely destroy Hamas and return the hostages by military means. According to US administration officials, further bombing of the sector is senseless and only worsens the situation for civilians.
