Yossi Landau was part of a volunteer team to recover the victims in Kibbutz Be'eri. The scenes he witnessed were unspeakable. “The 20 children we saw in Kibbutz Be’eri was beyond terrible. It's unbelievable, simply unbelievable! Al Jazeera channel reports to the world that the photo of the burned Israeli baby is actually a dog, yes, a dog..they replaced the baby with a dog! Leave aside the fact that Al Jazeera channel is a central and leading tool in Hamas propaganda, but do you understand what they are doing?? Many Israelis were furious this morning following yesterday's announcement by the IDF that it had eliminated Ali Qadi, the commander of Hamas forces that invaded southern Israel a week ago. The reason people are upset by this is that Qadi had been jailed by Israel in 2005 for kidnapping and murdering Israelis. But he was released to the Gaza Strip in 2011 as part of the price Israel paid for abducted IDF soldier Gilad Shalit. Many Palestinian terrorists released as part of prisoner swaps or goodwill gestures have gone on to kill more Israelis. Ali Qadi now tops that list. Been thinking about the Israeli war, and as of now, this appears to be a GROWING WAR like I’ve never seen before, in following Israel and the conflict for all these years. A spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces says the top priority in the military operation is to rescue the hostages, who are “most likely” being held underground. Noting the “elaborate network of tunnels” in the Gaza Strip, Lt. Col. "Tens of thousands of soldiers are expected to take part in the planned ground invasion of the Gaza Strip in the next few days." That's what senior IDF officials reportedly told The New York Times overnight. Other foreign media suggested that Israel's invasion of Gaza was supposed to start today, but had been delayed due to rain in the coastal regions last night. More rain is forecast for today. In the meantime, the IDF again informed the residents of Gaza of safe passage corridors they can safely use to move to the southern half of the coastal enclave to avoid harm. These corridors will be free from attack from 10 am till 1 pm local time.

Terrorists from Lebanon fired an anti-tank missile at Moshav Shtula in northern Israel this morning (Sunday). Rescue and medical forces called to the scene reported that three people were injured in the strike, one of whom was in serious condition. The most seriously-injured victim, a man in his 40s, later succumbed to his injuries. IDF forces launched retaliatory strikes against terrorist targets in Lebanon following the attack on Shtula. |
