The Chief of Staff of the Norwegian Army, General Eirik Kristoffersen, warned that "time is running out" and that there are two to three years to prepare for the possibility of war with Russia.

"We don't know what will happen with Russia in three years. It is important for us to face a world of uncertainty and unpredictability with solid national security," Kristoffersen told the Dagbladet daily, who called for investment in strengthening defense, especially in the air sector. He added that he agrees with the position of his Swedish counterpart, Micael Bydén, who said earlier this month that citizens should prepare for the possibility of war.
