Iran unsuccessfully pressured Sudan - the third largest country in Africa - to help it build a permanent naval base on its Red Sea coast, which would have allowed Tehran to monitor sea traffic from it to the Suez Canal and Israel, a source familiar with Sudanese intelligence told the Wall Street Journal. According to the report, Iran provided the Sudanese army with drones and explosives for them to use in fighting against the rebels. In addition, it offered to provide them with a warship - carrying helicopters if Sudan gives it permission for an intelligence base. |

IDF spokesperson: Air attack on about 50 terrorist infrastructures in less than 10 minutes; The forces of the 98th Division launched another attack tonight in the Khan Yunis area Tonight, the maneuvering forces and the fire center of Division 98 launched an extensive divisional attack in the west of Khan Yunis to deepen the operational achievement, while destroying terrorist infrastructures and eliminating terrorists in the terrorist organization Hamas who operate from civilian facilities in the heart of the built-up area. The divisional operation began with an opening flight, in the framework of which fighter jets of the Air Force attacked about 50 terrorist targets in 6 minutes with the help of artillery forces. Among the targets that were attacked were underground infrastructures, military buildings, anti-tank firing positions, trapped buildings and gathering points of terrorists who posed a threat to the forces in the area. The extensive airstrike was designed to create favorable conditions for the ground forces and at the end of it, the brigade combat teams began a surprise assault on the area, during which the fighters raided terrorist targets and eliminated terrorists, the forces continue to operate in the area with intensity. Hamas cannot save itself from military destruction on the battlefield. That might not be obvious to everyone, so it’s worth saying it loud. If given the order, the IDF will take Rafah and eventually find and kill Sinwar in the tunnels. There are two paths to survival for Hamas: Psychological warfare (hostage diplomacy) and information warfare (using its disinformation network, which includes the UN, to influence western media and the White House). These are its 11th hour weapons and they are wielding both of them. Given the trauma of October 7 and the large number of fallen IDF soldiers whose families want to see the state finish the mission of destroying Hamas, the psychological warfare - while still potent - is achieving mixed results. A temporary ceasefire with a hostage deal may yet materialize, but it will be due to several factors. The information war is working with greater effect - particularly since the White House began its obsession with virtue signaling to Dearborn, Michigan. And that has opened the floodgate for ideological zealotry inside several news organizations. I suspect the recent Harvard/Harris poll showing overwhelming US support for Israel is also sending these zealots into hyperdrive. If any checks on irresponsible coverage were put in place after Israel was falsely accused of bombing a hospital last fall, they have been removed or are being ignored. Editors and producers might need a refresher. The Hamas Gaza Health Ministry claims are not verifiable. The UN agencies operating in Gaza do not recognize Hamas as a terrorist group. The top UN coordinator of aid recently said Hamas is merely a political group. Several UN agencies have been found complicit in Hamas war crimes. Claims made by such groups in Gaza should be viewed, shall we say, skeptically. Many local Gaza “reporters” and stringers have been exposed for their Hamas ties. Again - strong skepticism is needed if that’s your sourcing. John Kirby fought these sources and so many false narratives for months but he has been overrun by ideological dissenters within the administration and the campaign team, which is apparently still more afraid of Dearborn, Michigan than swing voters in every other battleground suburb. On October 9, I wrote the following in a NY Post column: “Washington’s support for dead Jews is nice, but it’s not going to destroy the terror axis that carried out this massacre. The question now is whether the White House or Congress will support the living Jews who fight to keep on living.” That remains the fundamental question. (Richard Goldberg on X) |

Nearly 15,000 Israelis including members of abductee’s families participated in a march to Jerusalem. Although I perfectly understand their longing to see their loved ones, these acts are nothing but a setback to the hostage release. Pressure on the Israeli government isn’t the answer. Pressure on Hamas is the answer. These people should be marching with signs such as - “Enter Rafah now!” or “Annihilate Hamas now!” Amir T

Here’s the background to the deadly stampede. Hamas is hijacking aid, UNRWA is covering up for it, so Israel is coordinating humanitarian operations to get aid directly to civilians in northern Gaza. Thursday’s convoy was the fourth night in a row we were securing. Israel wants humanitarian aid to reach Gazan civilians in need. Because this is a war against Hamas, which started this war—not the people of Gaza, suffering from this war Hamas dragged them into. The IDF’s initial review of the stampede incident confirms most Palestinians were killed or injured as a result of the stampede, with civilians trampled to death and injured as they charged to the aid convoy. No strike was carried out by the IDF towards the aid convoy. The initial review indicates that following warning shots fired to disperse the stampede, and after IDF forces had started retreating, several looters approached our forces and posed an immediate threat to them. The soldiers responded towards several individuals. The IDF has opened an inquiry, which will help us reduce the risk of such a tragic incident from occurring again during one of our humanitarian operations. The incident will be examined in the Fact Finding and Assessment Mechanism: an independent, professional, and expert body. Amir T

Hamas has weaponized ambulances. The terrorists use ambulances as mobile units to maintain freedom of operation in the war zone. They go from the combat zone, to hospitals with tunnels, then into the tunnels to command centers and back to combat. This is the modus operandi. This is a war crime. Abuse of the medical mission jeopardizes civilians in need and they intentionally use protected symbols to conceal their actions. International organizations, such as ICRC WHO must publicly condemn these actions and hold Hamas accountable. So far they are silent.

As part of the 162nd Division's operation, the fighters of the 401st Brigade's combat team have carried out intelligence-led raids on Hamas terrorist targets in the Zeytun region of the northern Gaza Strip in the last two weeks. During the raids, the fighters eliminated more than a hundred terrorists, located and destroyed dozens of military terrorist infrastructures of the Hamas and GOP terrorist organizations, including factories and warehouses for the production and storage of weapons. The forces operated unique drones that scanned the targets and assisted in quick circuit closures, thus capturing dozens of Hamas terrorists who were interrogated and provided information Intelligence on the terrorist organizations. The forces engaged in the operation to uncover areas based on intelligence indications of Hamas launch and underground means. The forces located and destroyed hundreds of launch pits and launchers. As part of a force raid on a terrorist infrastructure, a Hamas terrorist squad fired a short-range anti-tank missile at our forces. An Air Force aircraft spotted and attacked the squad. Several terrorists were killed in the attack, the rest of the terrorists from the same squad were seen running away and hiding in an ambulance. In another incident, the forces identified a Hamas sniper who fired from a building near them, an aircraft attacked the sniper and he was killed. In addition, the forces destroyed the terrorist infrastructure of a senior Hamas official, the commander of the Gaza City Brigade, Az Aladdin Haddad.
