Maneuver in Lebanon and attack in enemy territory; The reserve forces continue to increase readiness for war in Lebanon In the last few weeks, the 146th Division (explosive design) and the 205th Reserve Armored Brigade held a divisional and brigade exercise simulating a maneuver in Lebanon, the exercise simulated combat scenarios in the northern arena, the rapid deployment of forces in the field, the functioning of the division and brigade headquarters and the readiness of the forces for an attack. The fighters and commanders of the half-fire brigade (551) fought hard in the Gaza Strip and are now carrying out operational employment on the Lebanese border. At the same time, a divisional exercise was held, led by the National Land Training Center (NTL) in the northern contour that included battle procedures, validation of attack plans on the northern front, recruitment and equipping, learning about Lebanon's challenges and day and night operational models in a tangled terrain that simulates as much as possible the fighting in the depths of Lebanon. From the Facebook page of a known Gaza commentator affiliated with the rival Fatah party: "The problem is that you [Hamas officials] put your tents among the tents of displaced civilians. The IDF announced: The Joint Chiefs of Staff's investigation mechanism (an independent investigative body that is not subordinate to the Chief of Staff) will investigate the airstrike tonight in Rafah in which, according to the Palestines, dozens of civilians were killed. The IDF also shows a map that marks the location of the attack - not in the area defined as a "humanitarian zone". IDF officials said that contrary to the Palestinian claims, the attack was carried out using two small and accurate bombs that are adapted to attack targets in a populated environment, and NOT using seven heavy weapons weighing a ton as per the Palestinians.

Video evidence from the Rafah strike last night. Two Palestinian eyewitnesses can be heard discussing the event as they film the resulting fire and secondary explosions. The main speaker clearly says that the ISRAELIS struck Hamas officials in a jeep (pinpoint, not indiscriminate bombing) that was for some reason in the tent encampment - that "some reason" being human shields. At 0:21 a secondary explosion occurs and the speaker expresses concern that a rocket will fly at them, indicating that he knew Hamas rockets were being stored in the tent encampment.

IDF: Earlier this evening, the IDF Aerial Defense Array successfully intercepted a hostile UAV that crossed from Lebanese territory into the Western Galilee area. Simultaneously, an additional hostile UAV crossed from Lebanese territory and fell in the area. The incident is under review. Following the interception, a siren for rocket and missile fire sounded due to the possibility of fallen shrapnel. |

Prime Minister's Office-Mossad Announcement Mossad Director David Barnea, today (Monday, 27 May 2024), announced the appointment of A as Mossad Deputy Director. A. will replace H., who has been serving as Mossad Deputy Director since June 2021. The appointment of A, with a background in the agency's HUMINT division, continues the organizational change that Director Barnea has led since the beginning of his term, which includes the significant expansion of operations based on HUMINT and the organization's technology arm.
