bluebay:You can talk of other states politics but certainly not Delta, it's beyond you. Who will deliver the vote for APC in Delta state? If APC win more than 2 LGAs in Delta state, then I'm not from Delta. 1 Like |

So all the Southern Governors of Nigeria gathered together with taxpayers monies to announce a wishlist! I guess that ultimatum of September 2021 given to end open cattle grazing was also a mere wish for them too. While everyone thought these people were there for their people, the host of the whole occasion is now telling us that for him, the purpose of the meeting was no different from the blom-blo Fada Christmas gives nursery school children celebrating end of year party! No matter how blunt a cutlass is, it should never be given to a mad man! With this sort of unintelligent defense, these people will only make a bad situation worse for everyone in this country. 1 Like |

Righthussle: So you expect Okowa to have voted for Wike at the primaries? Politics is a game of interest. Beside, the south didnt go into the PDP convention having a concensus candidate. And Wike aspiration didn't represent the interest of the south. Why is Wike crying blue murder when in Rivers state, he singlehandly bought all the forms for the governorship seat and gave it to 15 of his cronies. Farah Dagogo that expressed his intention to contest incurred Wike's ire because his aspiration didn't have his blessing. Wike's defeat at the primaries was the prayer of pensioners of Rivers state who have not been paid their gratuities after years of retirement and civil servants who have not been promoted for over 12years. Wike is a big misfit for the office of the president. Besides, bigot like Wike has no place as President of Nigeria. 2 Likes |

Vinnie2000: But hate apart, the man transformed Asaba. The Asaba I met when I entered the city in 2018 had only summit road as the gateway,Marian Babangida Road was a big eyesore. The state different govt agencies were scattered and domiciled in rented apartments strewn across the capital that gulped a lot of govt money in rents annually. The state general hospital was uncompleted. All that has changed, from marble Hill to onitsha headbridge, down to anwai, various decent roads now enter the capital. Many inner roads in the capital are tarred, unfortunately this development has driven house rents up too,my apartment was got at N400k when I came in, now I pay 700k. A magnificent state secretariat complex was built and powered by an independent power plant to accommodate the govt offices. A beautiful and functional general hospital now adorn the city. Asaba is currently a beautiful city to live, I came in from Lagos but don't look forward to going back for now. I used to wonder why a state capital created over 20yrs ago was left undeveloped by previous govts, was it hate, tribalism or whatever I sometimes wonder. I am not a lover or promoter of any politician, but to say Okowa has done nothing is not fair. I drive around the city and with hindsight of what I met when I came in in 2018, the governor deserves some kudos in this regard. 1 Like |

Branzy:I have been involved in active politics in Delta since 2003. Maybe then you are still bathing in the rain with paint. Simple question, who will deliver the vote for Omo-Agege and APC. It was in this forum I told them that irrespective of the outcome of the court case between David Edevbie and Sheriff, that Ibori and Uduaghan are going no where, people like you that doesn't know the politics of Delta state lambasted me, commenting on what they have little or no knowledge about. Today what's playing out? Simple question, mention only one politician from each senatorial zone in Delta state that will deliver votes for APC. 1 Like |

olisaEze: Many of the declarations in the past or any in the future will remain mere wishes until the country is restructured and the constitution amended to be honest. You cannot have a nation within another nation. Nigeria is governed by a constitution that does not even recognise that presidency should rotate. Unfortunately, it is only the citizens that can fight for reform not the politicians who were elected under a flawed constitution and who swore to uphold the constitution. |
