A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council from Borno State, Zanna Bukar Ali has resigned from the position.

Bukar who is a member of the campaign council under the directorate of youth mobilization said he can no longer be a part of the council due to a conflict of interest.

The Borno politician in a letter addressed to the Secretary of the Presidential Campaign Council of the APC, James Faleke stressed that he is withdrawing from all APC Presidential Support Groups, and all other APC Support Groups that are campaigning for the party’s candidate, Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima .

According to him, he has to put national interest above personal interest adding that the inability of the APC to present credible candidates for the election informed his decision to resign.

He wrote in the letter: “My resignation applies to all other APC Presidential Support Groups, and all other APC Support Groups that is campaigning for His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu/Kashim Shettima ticket.

“I have been a loyal party member from 2015 to date, with numerous contributions to the party, especially in the 2019 presidential campaigns.
“I am grateful to my former party and principal for my appointment as a member of the Committee, but I believe that national interest supersedes my personal interest.”
