Nigeria is coping the American presidential system of government, but they are not doing like the Americans. In the USA, the governors of these states will appoint senators to represent the constitucies inoder to complete their tenures. The elections will only be conducted at the supposed expiration of the tenures of the resigned senators. Nigeria could copy the American model so that it will save INEC time, money and other material resources that would have been used in conducting by-election. The people of these constitucies are being denied representation in the senate. |
