Atiku has a very strong support base in oyo state pdp , atiku and baba adedibu were very very close. they both belonged to general Shehu Musa yar adua movement then called the PDM which Atiku was the second in command to the late general and the present-day PDP in Oyo state still has a major bulk of baba adedibu followers.
