Post UTME stands for Post Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

It is conducted by each tertiary institution after the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination. Some people call it Post JAMB.

Universities and polytechnics use the Post UTME cut-off marks as the real score in their entrance exams.

Your admission into the tertiary institution of your choice depends to a large extent on your performance in the Post UTME.

If you fail to write the Post UTME, you will be denied admission irrespective of how high you scored in the JAMB exam.
