There's no doubt that Tinubu has lots of supporters in the southwest, but many are reluctant about voting. I spoke to over 50 people who I suspect support Tinubu and only 17 of them told me that they support him plainly. The others said they don't have candidates, but that Tinubu will win. They believe the APC will rig the election to favour Tinubu. So I asked what they would do on election day, almost all of them said they will stay in their house. Even those who are firm in their support of Tinubu believe he would be rigged in, so they don't need to vote. It's one thing to support a candidate during campaign, and it's another to go to your polling unit, queue, and vote for that candidate, and that zeal is something most APC supporter lack.
