The man should be awarded... Saw the news and I was like.. that's awesome..  Caught the robber unaware. The only problem here is the law...this really depends on the state..if there were cameras or witnesses and how good you are with words. In Texas.. you could totally get away with this. You’re allowed to shoot fleeing criminals at night or to reclaim stolen property if they have just disengaged and are attempting to flee... For example.. I come out of a store and see some guy jacking my buddy’s bike...Well.. he’s about to gas it and run but before he can speed off.. pull my gun and shoot him in the back...Completely legal... But if I see him a day or two later with my buddy’s bike and then I shoot him? Well, that’s not legal...  Now if you weren’t in Texas and were by yourself with just him and you in the store and with no cameras and no witnesses to the event you may be able to get off on claiming that you believed you were still in danger and he was attempting to find cover to return fire on you after you pulled your gun... 5 Likes |

Guns should be licensed here in Nigeria....Had to experience armed robbery attack last year and it wasn't funny..... Even though they never had their way into my house ... But these guys were fully armed and numbered to 15.... Tried breaking through the roof....But I had my stick and my machete was all intact and I was almost everywhere from all the rooms expecting a drop and the person will be dissected into pieces.. 5 Likes |

JASONjnr:They already are legalised under the Nigerian Firearms Act of 1990 but this comes with some strict conditions as any sane person should expect...  If you don’t have these controls you will have a society even more dysfunctional and barbaric than you can ever think of... Imagine having a rather stupid 17 year old playing soldier on the streets with a fully functioning semi automatic rifle? Or three racist bigots chasing some random innocent person and murdering them because of the colour of their skin? If you go to any police office and get a licensed gun...Any day there is a gunfight in your area, the police will do a house search and if the find the gun, they will use it to arrest and persecute you even when you're innocent..... This is because, you're never innocent when police is involved. Infact, they will come and arrest you when you're hungry and tell you how your gun is used for robbery...suspecting you to be the one hiring your guns to criminals for robbery.... |

The idiot be feeling like a hero. If that guy was a professional armed robber or he actually wanted to kill somebody, he would have shot that mudafucker by the way he was shuffling, trying to get to his gun. He saw saw him twice, fiddling with his gun, yet he didn't shoot him but only pointed the gun at him to discourage him. Yet, just when he was done and was already leaving, nobody harmed, the coward shot him in the back. |
