Malioboro is the first thing that comes to mind when reading or hearing about Jogja (also known as Jogjakarta or Yogyakarta). This tourist area is known to be the busiest in Jogja, so it's not surprising that there are many luxury hotel Yogyakarta Malioboro street, comparable to the luxurious Nirwana G Nirwana Garden Resort Bintan in Riau.

Interesting Places Around Malioboro:

1. Fort Vredeburg

One of the most historical places in Jogja is Fort Vredeburg which has existed since the colonial era. This museum was built on ​​more than 46,000 square meters and opened to the public in November 1992.

You can see historical objects in this museum by paying an entrance ticket of 10,000 IDR per person. You can visit anytime from Monday to Sunday from 8 am to 3 pm local time. From Malioboro Street, Fort Vredeburg is 500 meters away and only takes around 6 minutes to walk.

2. Beringhardjo Market

This market has been around since 1758 and is now a tourist icon in Jogja. This market is open every day from 8.30 am to 9 pm. If you want to buy typical Jogja souvenirs, Beringharjo Market is the place to be, from food to batik cloth and various other ancient objects can be found here.

3. Sosromenduran Tourism Village

This village has many exciting things, from food stalls, accommodation, and vehicle rental to traditional performances such as keroncong music, lion dance and classical dance. There are also rows of souvenir shops selling Jogja-style t-shirts.

4. Taman Pintar (Smart Park)

One of the educational tourist attractions that are suitable to be visited with children is the Smart Park which is about 750 meters from Malioboro. The place is open every day from 8.30 am to 4 pm. Some enjoyable features are the oval building, marine zone, planetarium and Science Theater.

5. The House of Raminten

A trip to Jogja isn't complete without culinary delights. Well, one of Malioboro's most legendary food stalls is The House of Raminten which has been around since 2008. There are many delicious Indonesian specialities here, such as Sekul, Soto, Rawon, and Gudeg.

6. Yogyakarta Monument

This iconic monument is located around Malioboro, which is in the middle of the four-way intersection between Jendral Sudirman Street, Prince Mangkubumi Street, Diponegoro Street, and AM Sangaji Street.

Apart from taking pictures or videos, you can also hang out and enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city of Jogja from angkringan or cafes around the monument.

7. Yogyakarta National Museum

Another exciting place around Malioboro Street is the JNM (Jogja National Museum) on Jalan Prof. Ki Amri Yahya 1, Pakuncen. This museum building stands on 1.4 hectares of land and contains ancient objects of art and culture.
