Y'all need to expand ur view, he wasn't necessarily standing on an ice block. Except u specify that the room was water tight, the room could have been filled with water that allowed him to float, and put a noose around his neck after which he flicked a switch on top that opened a hole in the roof to allow enough sunlight and heat in to make the water evaporate. His neighbours probably came in b4 the water finished evaporating (the rate of evaporation or exactly when the neighbours came iin are unknown), which accounts 4 the water left on the floor. Learn to think like a detective, dont rule out any possibility except it is explicitly stated you should.
