Yes you are correct the coup was a collaborative coup by officers from the different regions. The problem was the execution of the coup. All members from other regions trusted the Igbo who were the leaders of the coup but were betrayed with the execution. Other regional leaders were killed but Igbos did not touch their leaders. That was the beginning of the mistrust. That feeling and sentiment of mistrust vibrated across Nigeria then.
