You see my entire life I spent on playing and wasting time on trivialities. I saw so many of my peers go on to archive their dreams because they were focused. I know someone who went on to become a phd scholar and a professor in Canada from nothing in Nigeria with no support. I know another who became a lawyer, another became a millionaire in dollars etc. at 15 I dropped out of school because of PlayStation, I wanted enough time to play literally and found a way to convince my parents that the school was not good for me.

Then I went to the university and again dropped out because of a girl I couldn’t live without who lived in another city and my school work was affecting my time with her so I again left university to focus on her till she served me the coldest breakfast ever.

You see that has been my life experience, playing! Even after all that I would always be playing and wasting time with my brother who is even a worse less serious person than me.

I woke up from my slumber about five years ago and I became the most serious and no nonsense person that ever existed. You can’t visit me or call me if it’s not about something productive I would insult you, I focused on my life and career and by Gods grace I’m not where I want yet but financially I’m doing very well.

Now there’s someone who don’t know my story and wanted to come waste my time all because we live in the same compound, always wanting us to sit and gist and drink or some bullshit. I tolerated it at first because I was trying to be friendly but he didn’t know when to stop till I recently gave him the insult of his life in front of the whole neighborhood.

Guess what? This man all of a sudden is now serious, he went to get a generator for his tailoring work and he’s always indoors now hustling unlike before when he’s looking for my attention 247 to sit and drink.

Life is a war zone and you must fight your battles if not you will suffer, so I don’t joke with my time. If I didn’t scare him off he won’t become as serious as he is now, we have been living together for a year and it’s only after I warned him off he went to get a gen to focus on his craft. Because now he wants to prove to me that he will make it in life and I pray and hope he does make it in life.

I’m just glad I was used as a vessel to help him because I almost threw away my life as well when I was growing up, never again.

And no he’s not young he’s over 40 and older than me.
