You are right, Instead of Deescalating tensions the west are busy fuelling the war by supplying the Ukrainians with inferior weapons. Sending weapons to the Ukrainians is like giving them cyanide capsule to drink which is suicidal, this war has bogged down into a war of attrition and Ukraine doesn't have the population and resources to survive this. You can not defeat a country that is manufacturing it's own armaments by relying on weapons supplied from other nations.
