Division Of Nigeria- An Objective & Practical Solution. by Nobody: 4:52pm On Sep 06, 2011 |
Dear Nairalanders, lets endeavor to look at this topic with open mind and objectively. In history,Nigeria was amalgamated by Lord Lugard in 1914 into a single entity. Has anyone asked, who told him to join the northern and southern protectorate of nigeria.Note that religion was still fresh back then but both halves of the country were not similar hence the reason why it was in 2 parts. If we look at Nigeria today after 50 years the country is still roughly divide into two halves and further into 3 major parts according to ethnicity. Now i ask dear NL's these questions won't it be of best interest if the country divides and how do u think the country should be divided i.e either by religion which leaves two halves or by ethnicity(note that Yoruba states(even within states too) have their own language but adopt Yoruba as their language for that region likewise Ibo's and Hausa's) Dear NL's PLEASE CONTRIBUTE OBJECTIVELY NO NEED FOR INSULTS TO OTHER ETHNICs or RELIGION! |
