IPOB declares jan 24th sit-at-home

The IPOB (Indigenous people of Biafra) has ordered a fresh sit at home for the south-east regions to adhere to. This sit at home was implemented in the request for the final release of the IPOB leader named Maazi Nnamdi Kanu since the court had given the orders for him to to be released and yet he is still supposedly being held by the government.

written in the above press release, it is quoted that ”It is now clear to the world that Nigeria is a very lawless country who disobeys their own court order”. It goes again to state that ”That is why the indigenous people of Biafra(IPOB), have taken it upon themselves to use civil-disobedience means to continue to demand for the release of Kanu Nnamdi unconditionally.

This goes to prove that Nigeria is a country that defies it’s own court orders thereby showing that those in power are above the law. A country that is lawful abides by the orders given by the court. The UN had given the Nigerian government a deadline of six months which is t0 end month of febuary. They said any failure to release him after this period would result to a diplomatic conflict.
