Scores injured as APC, PDP thugs clash in Lagos

Scores of persons were injured Friday, in Aiyetoro, Surulere area of Lagos, during a clash between suspected thugs of the All Progressive Party and the Peoples Democratic Party.

A video that went viral on social media revealed that thugs from both sides engaged themselves in a gun battle.

But members of one group overwhelmed the other.

Vehicles were seen hurriedly making U-turns while shop owners hid to avoid being hit by stray bullets.

The impact of the gunshots caused a forced contraction for a pregnant woman identified simply as Chinyere..

A campaign vehicle of one of the parties was seen driving off from the scene.
By the time policemen arrived, the armed thugs had left.

When contacted, the spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hudenyin, said three persons were injured.

He added that there was no loss of life and that no arrest was made.

These politicians are struggling and they’ve lived their lives struggling for the national cake which they will distribute amongst themselves.
It is, therefore, in the interest of ordinary Nigerians to know that they have to vote to stay alive.

Supporters of candidates all over the country need to be a bit more restrained and wise.
We ordinary people must figure out how to manage our passion when it comes to politics.

Don’t take seriously the grandstanding of the politicians.
All the things you see about them abusing themselves or quarrelling, you will think they will never shake hands.
They are very good friends, and many of them drink from the same pool.
So, don’t go and kill yourself for nothing.

Touts killing themselves for politicians who would hug and greet each other when they meet. We saw that in Osun state during the governorship election when Atiku and Tinubu greeted each other warmly.

It's well with all of them.

Just look at someone's brother, father, son, boyfriend, husband and whatever, welding axes and shooting indiscriminately because of peanuts from another fellow human being who is privileged to have stolen from our commonwealth.
