This is a common scripture, where Jesus Christ was resisting the devil, who asked him to abuse his power by turning stone to bread.

What does it actually mean?
"Live" in the context refers to eternal life. It's God's desire for man to live forever.

Bread in the context actually means food. And by extension, wealth. An unbeliever might have food, but they will not live for long. Not that they will die young, NO. But they won't have eternal life. After this world, they eventually die the second death and stop existing altogether.
But for a believer, the word of God will is not just a spiritual food. It will eventually make you live forever, after this life. But it will also guide you into getting your daily physical food. So it's two in one.

If you keep pursuing daily bread and wealth, you might eventually get it, but that food and wealth cannot take you beyond this life. After death you end. Man cannot live by bread alone!

If you pursue God's word instead. You will have bread with more ease. God gives power to make wealth, you won't experience lack. You have access to divine healing, righteousness, peace, and joy. And after death, there's life for you again. The real life without hustling and bustling.
