She's been oppressive
Forcing her inhabitants to quake, cry, worry and live in fear
She appointed for herself, helpers that are also brutal, ruthless and without conscience
Together, she and her helpers have left her inhabitants without mercy

From her bosom emanates precious liquid
Liquid so precious to humans existence
She's blessed with excess of this precious liquid to serve more than her inhabitants
Yet, her people cry, struggle and suffer to access same liquid that was given to her for free

She's been bestowed with colorful, pretty and attractive papers
Papers so important that her inhabitants need it to breath
It will cost her nothing to circulate her pretty papers to her people
But she's kept them out of reach while her people continue to suffer

The prevailing pain, anguish, suffocation and uncertainty has held her people captive
Like slaves, they've been shackled to their hopeless faith of uncertainty
Worry, tribulation, trials and affliction has been a daily occurence in their lives

Oh, for how long would they continue to cry, fear and tremble in lack while they wallow in their hopeless situation?
Will they ever be compensated and shown mercy for staying strong all along?
Will tomorrow ever bring them succour?
All these are the hard questions on their lips whilst they let down tears from their cheeks as she continuously allow them roast in the sun

She is Nigeria
A country blessed, yet in lack and filled with people who barely live as they struggle to breath
God, show her mercy and let your compassion dwell amongst her inhabitants

Oh, my beautiful Nigeria yet to attain her true beauty!
