That's one version of the story of the incident in Oshodi two days ago.

Another eye witness account is that an area boy accosted an aboki who was selling his wares in a wheel barrow. The agbero demanded payment from the aboki, as is their tradition in Lagos, and the aboki resisted him. While the disagreement was going on, the young soldier was passing by and intervened. An argument ensued between the young soldier and the agbero, leading to a fight. The young soldier get out his combat knife and stabbed the agbero in the chest, leading to his death. Not long after, soldiers mobilized to the area to control. The agbero was buried yesterday.
