Now I believed that Buhari was tricked by the disgruntled cabal in the villa through Emiefele.

The lesson learned from the Emiefele's appointment is that never entrust a sensitive responsibility to someone you barely know regardless of his resume.

Buhari was tricked.

Buhari didn't know.

Buhari was unaware.

Buhari forgot.

Trying so hard to extricate an incompetent and unaware president from the woes facing the average Nigerian must be an exhausting, daunting and futile task, no?

This has got absolutely noffin to do with 'incompetency' brah, it all about economic and political sabotage. When u mop up 3 trillion 'old' naira notes and replace it with 500 billion 'new' notes - thats even if they printed up to dt amount in d 1st place sef- what were they was he expecting? How will d notes shortfall be balanced? Even for UK sef, it took them 2 solid years to effect d change in their currency, how much more Nigeria.

Emefiele with his decades experience and armed with the templates of how it is done in other climes can't feign ignorance of d aftereffects of this thing he has done.

Let's look at the bigger biggest picture: who stands to gain and who stands to lose most in this impasse? If this man were to be a true APC member at heart and in an apc cabinet (and not an enemy within of which he is), will he put in place such foolish and counterproductive policy when d election is around s corner?

Military and political office holders get publicly executed in China for far less crime than what this imbecilcc saboteur did.
He's lucky Nigeria is not china.

May we not make our enemy our policy maker!
cool

Was Emefiele also CBN governor when the clueless and sense.less Buhari junta changed the naira color in 1984?

If you don't know that this is purely Buhari's making then you're most likely a Buharist who worships a man that has put Nigerians through the worst kind of hell in 2 stints as GCFR.

Your last line betrays the bile and ignorance in you anyway. We know your type.

Seek knowledge you refused, now see you displaying a sick kind of hate on the Internet, asking for the head of a man who's merely taking directions from his boss.

You should be ashamed of yourself!

Exactly why Emefiele and his management team should be fired. The level of incompetency they’ve displayed in implementing the policy is unbelievable. Admitting publicly that they didn’t envisage the challenges is the height of nonsense and irresponsibility.
The policy has not just failed woefully, it has brought an absolutely unnecessary hardship on Nigerians. The politics of the policy makes no sense to any sane person again. Instead of admitting to failure, they should immediately cancel the deadline and circulate the old and new notes together till June ending. The old notes should be gradually withdrawn as more new notes are minted and released into circulation. Again, the 20k daily withdrawal limit is killing the economy. It should be immediately increased to 100k.

This Emefiele is still playing a hide and seek game,as his people ( tribe) in LP-is now blaming Tinubu - who saw it ahead and they gave different interpretations, including Atiku's party- the PDP that supports Nigerians suffering, saying Emefiele' s actions are in order and whose interests is he serving?
His actions of few weeks to the Elections is self serving ,not the overall Public Interest that makes everyone to be at his mercy!
Where were they - when this CBN governor was going up and down to contest Political Party, yet even the govt were just silent to this political theatre that has damaged the Naira-Value!
Why should such personality remained on the Monetary chair and for what reason?
Did Tinubu appointed the CBN governor or is not his opinions everyone is now using?
Even, sometimes,a mad man have period of sanity and we should listen but because of hate from our Eastern brothers, everything is turned into politics!
May be Tinubu that is causing the serious leaking and deaths in Anambra,Enugu and Imo,etc,
Truth is far away from our People,as they chose tribalism, ethnicity and religion biases and cannot condemned that what is bad is bad!
We are all together in it but God will heal our land!

**Biko, was naira scarce in 1984?
**Did your father ever enter any bank in 1984 and was told "ego adiro" (no money)?

We're they not thought basic economy to know that wherever you have scarcity, such businesses will emerge? Flood the market with enough cash and see if the businesses won't die naturally. Nigeria keeps putting all sorts of square pegs in round holes ! Haba,CBN or whatever nonsense you're called, you plan to withdraw 3 trillion Naira cash ( N3 Trillion) from circulation and replace it with N.1Trillion cash ( N500 Billion),yet you did not anticipate challenges in a scenario like that ? That is a scarcity right there and you guys know it ! The truth is that the commercial banks will never get enough cash to go round in the system; that is the essence of cashless policy ! Those who are attacking the commercial banks are not well informed. Commercial banks are not getting, and won't get anyway, adequate cash supply from the CBN !

Yeye dey smell, cashless policy with no infrastructure to drive it;una never see anything !

You are absolutely right.
This case is similar to border closure which later flopped.

You are looking at one angle of the entire piece.
The money printed isn't up to what was in circulation.

Cashless transactions are failing back to back in many places.

A lot of Nigerians are still unbanked....

These are issues that ought to be addressed...

I can't believe Emefiele and the CBN have been planning this policy since 2020

So why have the CBN been printing a lot of ₦200, ₦500 and ₦1000 notes since 2021 when they know the notes will be phase out on January 31st 2023?

Why have the CBN not been printing a lot of the lower denomination like ₦100, ₦50, ₦20, #10 and ₦5?

You said it has been in plans for over two years, yet, una no still fit get am right? Is this a joke or what 😕😕

Is so shocking the CBN have been planning this policy since 2020, yet, everything is in comatose.

The right infrastructures, culture and what have you, that are necessary to make such an exercise a seamless one,are not just in place yet. I laugh when I hear people say the new notes are not available, they never wanted it to be available in the first place, that why it's called ***Cashless Policy*** they want you to use alternatives...

The Government wants to see everything happening...

What you buy,
Where you go,
Who you do business with,
They want to know everything....
