What happened to cash transfer?

How many Local Traders have POS Machine or Bank Accounts In Nigeria?

You expect an INEC Staff in [b]Remote Areas[/s] to make E-Payment for such thing as drinks, snacks, food etc.

You people should always make sure your brains are Active and always reason properly in different directions before you come to cyberspace to comment.

Are you an INEC staffer? Stop quoting me if you are not because e-channels can do almost everything cash transactions do.

The last time I checked, NYSC doesn't pay corpers using cash. Besides, CBN has branches in all the 36 states and the FCT. They kicked off Cash Swap program that targets unbanked Nigerians in rural communities. Those corps members should access cash through that channel, if they really need cash.

Unless the CBN drops this policy, everyone must embrace it. Cashless payments have more benefits than carrying cash about. Our problem is that we are obsessed with cash payments, and we are struggling to come to terms with the new normal.

So, if INEC staff want to but water in the village they should do transfer

Like Nzeribe like Emefiele. People from that region are specialized in scuttling progressive efforts. They are bound to fail this time around.

.

Yes they must naw.

Even if they want to buy Groundnut and Sachet Water do drink Garri.

Aren't you aware all those Traders In villages and remote areas have POS Machine, Bank Accounts and Banking System that are working very effectively.

If he’s sorted for life, then let him stay away from Nigeria’s presidency.

Meanwhile, INEC should do transfer.😏

Must they pay in cash?

So you want to leave ad-hoc staff at the mercy of banks. What if your officers don't show up at your polling unit on election Day because they couldn't get transport fare due to no cash.

You want to blame APC for the same policy Obedient are celebrating across nigeria. i watched my obedient friends say God bless Buhari and Emiefele for this one policy, and i asked why?? they said becos it will Thwart Tinubu chance to win

So because of Tinubu, obedient don't care if Nigerians suffer, obedient don't care who dies at the hospital because is relative can't get cash to pay, obedient don't care about the aged ones in the villages where there are no banks or network for bank app.

Do obedient ever mean well for Nigerian, or all these jamboree is just about a selfish agenda that an IGBO becomes president.

Why will Obedient suddenly cheer Buhari and still go about castigating Tinubu for the sins of Buhari undecided Thank God Nigerians are beginning to see the game plan of Emiefele

Buhari is the sole architect of this currency swap problem and it is causing the same untold hardship today that it caused in 1984 when people were committing suicide because of it.
Buhari is notorious for being a poor planner and for being extremely incompetent at executing policies.
We saw it with his poor implementation of the National Identification Number system, his poor implementation of the BVN, his poor implementation of SIM card registration and now his poor implementation of a completely unnecessary currency swap just a few weeks to a general election. We haven't even mentioned the crippling fuel scarcity which is happening under his watch as a self appointed minister of petroleum. I suppose Emefiele is to blame for that as well.

I'm not saying Emefiele is a Saint, but if he was a rogue element like people are accusing him of being, then why hasn't Buhari sacked him? Buhari sacked Lawal Daura as head of the DSS and he sacked Ibrahim Lamorde and Ibrahim Magu as chairmen of the EFCC.

So why is Emefiele still keeping his job if he is implementing a different policy from what Aso Rock wants?

Emefiele will pay, Buhari, his stooges and others behind this chaos will rot in jail

I once serve as a PO to polling unit in abuja, polling units need catch to function perfectly and even after the election I still pay for tp and many transportation to and fro was done by cash and how about food for the security and inec staffs. All this must be done with cash

Why should staff be paid in cash ? Are NYSC allowance not paid through bank ? Same should happen to their election allowance
So you expect nysc adhoc staff to transport with his money right cos most bank and pos don't have money here in abuja? Have done it before and I know what the inec chairman meant

I've been an INEC ad-hoc staff in previous elections and to some extent cash is inevitable. In most cases the monies are given for transportation and feeding. Even if you can pay for food with transfer, will you pay for transport with transfer too. INEC doesn't pay election renumeration with cash. It's only the stipends needed for staffs to navigate to RAC and for their feeding during the elections. Also cash is needed for RAC maintenance. In as much as cashless policy is good, there are many areas that still depends on cash.

Again, what you are saying does not hold water. With proper planning and strategy anything that's to be purchased through out the election period. Even if it's needle, online bank transfer can easily solve it. You are just talking like this because egunje that inec staff do enjoy during election period will be seriously affected.

Budgetary allocation isn't the same thing as disbursement or release of money....
INEC doesn't keep cash in its office... The money is in the banks....

Re: 10 Days To Go: No Cash Yet For Elections - INEC by Segzy19: 11:12am On Feb 15, 2023
Nigeria should end cash?
You guys are something else!
Has America, UK, Canada, Ghana, South Africa ended use of cash?
Travel to these places and you still see ATM galleries all over the place in cities and remote areas, shopping malls, street corners etc... The ATM galleries are for cash...
This should tell you something...

Let's not politicise everything in Nigeria, please

SmartPolician:
What does INEC need cash for? What kind of logistics payment that runs in millions that INEC cannot pay using e-channels? Nigerians should just end all this obsession with cash!

Mahmood should not fail and blame it on cash (CBN). If anyone should be complaining about cash, it should be village people, bus drivers and market women who handle small amounts of cash, not men like INEC chairmen who control millions of naira.

INEC doesn't make food for their ad-hoc staffs for security reasons. In fact they don't allow food sellers in the RAC premises. People transport themselves from different places to work for INEC.

The cash money they pay is 5k for feeding and transportation and also 3k for transportation and feeding for the training. The 30k renumeration for the election work is transfered to individual accounts.

So tell me if they transfer 5k to the ad-hoc staffs account, do you want them to pay 5h or 1k to pos for them to get the money. Or how will they get cash for transportation

*INEC pays AdHoc staffs stipends in cash for election day

Tinubu donated 100 million to victims of attacks Katsina in the presence Buhari. They don't know that what they called vote buying has since been changed to philanthropy by smart politicians

Palliative and trader money is going on presently in Lagos 10 days to election and some people are punishing 200 million Nigerians over suspected vote buying that they envisaged

The way you people change narratives is disguising. How are igbos supporting Emefile, personally, I do not support this guy policy during this period. And beside, APC is the government currently, you will cowardly leave Buhari who is the President and the man in charge to push all blame to Emefile and by extension Igbos. I never see humans like you, very pathetic
