So just like the HIV PEP we know that prevents transmission of HIV if taken 72 hours after exposure, we now have doxy-PEP that prevents chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphillis 24 to 72 hours after exposure. It’s only taken for one day and that’s it. Good thing is the bacteria cannot get resistant to PEP. Condoms will soon be obsolete. |
