Many northern youths (Almajiri) have nothing to do with banks.

Many Southerners are just stupid, and I mean it with every sense of responsibility.

One nation but two ideology, two different attitude and two approach to life.

How does the north take this money swap issue? They listened to their leader, the are conscious that Supreme Court proclaims is supreme.
They are not panicking, they still trade and receiving old note, they even give new notes as change if that's what's with them.

Compared to Southerners who reject the old notes despite they can't access the new note. They are conscious of Supreme Court verdict yet they don't believe in it. They complain and protest by destroying banks, but are always absolving their leaders that are making bad policies, they are too tribal when it comes to national issue.

You see them burning tyres, carrying out jungle justice and sabotaging and vandalising government properties.

A Southerner living in the north will be the first to reject old note, despite receiving new notes after paying with old note.

I look at their hypocrisy, and I see a set of confused people

In an ideal situation, both people who voted for the incumbent leaders and people who voted against unite to form a strong force against them because they know that nobody is immune to bad leadership.

But in this part of the world, when those who didn't vote for the leaders criticize them for their poor leadership, the vast majority who gave them the mandate will be doing the yeoman's job of defending them. The implication is that the leaders do silly things and get away with it.

What I find particularly disturbing is you describing it as smartness. Listen, the essence of politics is development. And if this country is not growing as fast as it should after over six decades of independence, we really need to mentally evaluate ourselves.

This doesn't change the fact that northerners are smart. They'll rather see their fellow northerner becomes president than seeing a southerner.

Oga, a Yoruba man will tell you he rather prefers Atiku wins the election than obi, likewise an Igbo saying he prefers Atiku to a Yoruba candidate. Whereas a northerner will hardly vote any of the two. All these things simply points to the intelligence of the North.

The leaders do silly things and get away with it because we're not yet ready in this country. Until we sit up and do the needful, the northerners will continue to outsmart the southerners
