UNDERSTANDING WHAT FAITH IS. Part 60.

Hebrews 11:1, 6 (KJV) "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.....But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

60. The word of God is the only means whereby we can have both the substance of our faith and the evidence of our faith. Whether it is faith for healing, salvation, prayer, fruitfulness, freedom from demonic oppression, prosperity, serving God, to succeed in life, etc. Only the bible can provide you the substance and evidence that will give you the basis for your faith to receive anything from God. If you are desiring or expecting anything outside of the word of God that is not faith and you are not expecting to receive it from God. God will only give you what His word has promised not just what you want. The word of God is the only will of God for you. God gives us only what He has promised us in His word. God cannot give you what He does not have.

If the substance and the evidence of your faith is not based on the word of God it is not faith. And without faith you can receive nothing from God. So in a nutshell faith simply means the word of God you are standing on for what you want or desire and the word of God you are standing on as evidence that what you are desiring is already yours even though you have not yet seen it. 2Corinthians 1:20 tells us that all the promises of God begins and ends in the word of God who is Christ.

In other words the whole bible or the word can be divided into to broad headings - the word of God that gives substance of hope and the word of God that gives you evidence of things not seen. For example the bible is divided into two testaments, the old testament and the new testament according to substance and evidence. The old testament mostly contains stories and promises that gives us hope because Christ was yet to come. But the new testament from the book of Romans contains realities of what already belongs to us because of the finished work of God in Christ.

Now let's make a difference between what is the substance of faith and what is the evidence of faith. Based on the scriptual definition of faith the bible says Now faith is the substance of things hoped for. According to this definition, the substance of faith is that scripture or word of God that gives you hope or assurance for example that your healing is possible, that God can heal you, God is able to heal, that God is willing to heal you. Providing the substance of faith is the primary purpose of all the account and stories of healings we see and read in the bible. These stories not only gives us substance but also tells us how the people got their own substance. Faith begins by hearing the substance and believing it. This is the first step to faith and the first step of faith. Grace be with you. 1Peter 2:24; Matthew 8:17; John 20:31; 3:16, Romans 5:1-21; 6:3-14; 8:1-39; 10:9-10; Genesis 1:28; John 15:7; 16:23; Mark 16:17; James 4:7; Ephesians 1:3-14; 1Corinthians 3:21; 12:1-30; 2Corinthians 8:9; John 14:13-14; 2Kings 5:1-15; Matthew 8:5-13; 9:27-35; Mark 5:25-34; Luke 7:11-17; John 4:43-54; 5:1-7; Acts 3:1-10; Colossians 1:13-20; 2:9-10; 3:1-4;

If you need healing the bible says in Matthew 8:17 that Jesus Himself took all our sicknesses and diseases. Therefore you can receive your healing now by faith in the name of Jesus. Just lay your hand on the affected area of your body and say this prayer. Father God in the name of Jesus I believe that Jesus died for my healing. I believe He took all my sickness and diseases on the cross. If He took them, then I cannot have them. Therefore I resist and I reject every sickness in my body and I confess Jesus today as my healer and I receive my healing now. Thank you Jesus that I am healed. 1Peter 2:24; Ps 107:20.
Now begin to do what you couldn't do before because of the sickness. You are healed in Jesus name.

Heaven is real, Hell is real. Jesus is coming very soon. Judgement Day is coming. But you can become a born again child of God today. The bible says If you shalt confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead, you shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10; John 1:12.

Say this prayer: Father God have mercy on me. I come to you today in the name of Jesus. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that He died for me. I believe that you raised Him from the dead for my salvation. I accept Jesus in my heart today and I confess Him today as my Lord and Saviour. Thank you Father that today I am saved In Jesus name.

If you prayed the prayer of Salvation, pls go to a nearby bible believing Church in your area, so you can grow in the grace of our Lord Jesus. Grace be with you. To Jesus be all the glory.
