Traditional rulers from the six states in the South-West, as well as Kogi and Kwara, have affirmed the suitability of Senator Bola Tinubu as the next president of Nigeria.


In a meeting held in Ibadan and presided over by the Ooni of Ife, Enitan Ogunwusi, the rulers acknowledged Tinubu’s strong democratic credentials and his commitment to the entrenchment of democracy in Nigeria.


The meeting was attended by various traditional rulers, including the Orangun of Oke-Ila, Adedokun Abolarinwa; Olugbo of Ugbo, Fredrick Akinruntan; Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom, Victor Kiladejo; Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, Olusola Alao; Elegushi of Ikate Kingdom, Oba Saheed Ademola, and others.

Tinubu was given the opportunity to address the rulers and expressed his aspiration to become the next president of the country.


During the meeting, the traditional rulers expressed their concern about the current hardship faced by the people due to the scarcity of fuel and the trauma caused by the non-availability of new naira notes.
