May I ask you , sir, which political party have not been involved in voters inducement since democracy in Nigeria? Are there no other way if stifling this measure that this u told hardship?... You that is credited with this statement, is this the best possible way to stop voters inducement? Your guess is as good as mine, No! Hence, why the rush and untold hardship you want to be remembered with leaving the hospital I chaos, market to be empty, while the civil servants have chosen to be starvant... I pity our mumu that has just begun... |

Misterone:Lol. Maybe you're right. Maybe the governors mopped up all the new notes and put the banks at risk. Probably why the banks are at the receiving end of the mayhem. So much destruction at the banks. Too bad |

Believeintruth:As if those working in EFCC and ICPC are not Nigerians! The problem of Nigeria is not the government but the people. The average Nigerian loves life with passion, if not, how can a man use his offspring for ritual, or use ones parents for ritual. The people around you will know what you did but what they will do is praise singing and wanting to be like you. People are being caught for Yahoo Yahoo but millions of young boys and girls are still going into it. Is that the kind of people that will be afraid of EFCC and ICPC? They say make the money first then bother about law enforcement later. People are not afraid to go to jail. What they are afraid of is leaving a generation of poverty behind. It's like taking one for the team. |

Misterone: They cannot not exchange it without it entering the banking system and raising attention, even if bank managers and MDs are working from your house, any money entering your hand from them must either come from a loan or one of your account, no charity here. They report to CBN , so billions in naira movement will raise attention. So Buhari's trap was for them to try to change the money and risk being caught or keep it and make the money worthless during elections. Right now the money is worthless so they are trying to convince their people to still do business in old notes which is impossible. |

2mercy: The SAN did not address a critical part of the argument. Can the President overrules the temporary injunction of a case that is still ongoing? This will determine what the people should do. The Supreme Court establishes that, for now, all old currency should still be in use, pending the hearing and the determination of the case. The President countered the Supreme Court by saying only N 200 was a legal tender. Does the President have the constitutional authority to overule the Supreme Court over a case that is still subsisting and that the FG is a defendant? Everything will come down to this. |
Re: Governors Planning To Buy Votes With Old Naira Notes – Muiz Banire by Misterone: 10:03pm On Feb 18, 2023 |
JoeyNaza:so you think a governor will use his name or a business associated with him to deposit money in a bank? If that's what you're thinking, then you're not seeing the big picture PS We just learnt about SPVs from Atiku recently. Think along that line |
Re: Governors Planning To Buy Votes With Old Naira Notes – Muiz Banire by JoeyNaza: 10:28pm On Feb 18, 2023 |
Misterone: It's not the name of account they are looking at, it the volume of money and unexplainable exchange of money Even if you divvy 20 billion in 1000 bank accounts, it's still 20 million each and guess what banks flag transactions above 5million and 10 million in some cases. So suspicious volume of money and suspicious transfers is all that is that is needed to track any money laundering |
