Awolowo lost each time that he contest for president. However he made a political statement during each of the contest. That made Awolowo one of our greatest. He is rated above former prime minister , Tafa Balewa and former president, Shagari.

Win or loss, Peter Obi has made a political statement like Awolowo. He single handedly turned Labour party to a third force. No body gave him a chance to win a single state but he now has SE on lockdown and is giving Tinubu a nightmare in Faraway Lagos.
