The All Progressives Congress Campaign Council has denied claims that 400 billion nairawas recovered when Economic and Financial Crimes Commission officials raided the presidential candidate's home, Bola Tinubu.


Even as the campaign council called for the arrest of the online publisher, complaints were widespread.



The APC PCC's rebuttal came after the EFCC also denied carrying out a raid on the residence of the former Lagos Governor.


On Sunday, an online platform claimed in a report that Tinubu lost 400 billion old naira to EFCC agents after one of its underground houses was raided.

The news made a big splash on social media before being denied by the anti-corruption agency on Sunday.


Denying the reports in a tweet via its Twitter handle, the spokesperson for the commission, Wilson Uwujaren, urged Nigerians to disregard the reports as fake news.
