It is actually correct. But why do you guys always like to use chatgtp to solve even the simplest question? I mean, if we keep going on like this, it will affect our intellectualism. At least, let's rack our brain sometimes.

Lol. Rack brain to know what the constitution says about popular vote and voters' spread? In this particular case, how is this different from using Google Search engine? What intellectual problem did you see ChatGPT (not chatgtp) solve in that screenshot?

No rerun at all.

Not true. To be declared winner, a candidate must secure majority of valid votes cast, and must secure 1/3 (25%) of valid votes cast in 2/3 (24 states). If these two conditions are not met, a candidate can never be declared winner

The rule is clear, none of 4hrm satisfies the condition to be declared winner and therefore it will be inconclusive. A re-run will be done within a week. Thereafter, whoever has the majority votes wins.
you don't understand the rules. Nothing like rerun if one get 25% from 24 states and the others didn't get 25%.

This is a lie...you must have the majority of votes plus 25% in 24 states .

In the event as described above by the poster none is qualify to be president hence another election will be conducted.

The election is a clear case of simple majority with atleast 25% in atleast 24 states...
If I have 15m votes with 25% in 20 states, and the next has 12m votes and 25% in 36 states, what happens... Where will he go and get another vote from... No where... The person with majority votes irrespective will be declared the winner... This in Us is called college vote and electoral/popular vote....
Our constitution is fashioned after that of the US...

Obi may likely get high vote and may not get the required 25% in 24 states.

If Atiku and Peter obi denied Tinubu not to win this Saturday and it get to second ballot , Jagaban will not be able to win again because one on one both Atiku and Peter obi can win Jagaban

When AND is used in a statement what does that mean. As long as a candidate does not satisfy both conditions for being declared a winner there will be a rerun.

What if, non of the candidates were able to meet with the 25% requirement in the 24 states, but there is a candidate with majority of the votes, what will happen in this situation?

The constitution is very clear. The candidate with the highest votes without spread and the second highest votes will go into runoff.

There are primarily two provisions by law to be declared winner:

1. Majority vote

2. 25% in 2/3 states.

Both have to be satisfied to emerge winner.

In this case, both contestant only satisfy one of the provisions hence a rerun

A preisdent can not be declared with just the above...FCT must be part of the 25 percent.

Both of them will go run-off Election. In a situation where there is a Candidate who scored the majority of votes without the national spread( i.e 25% in at least 24 States) and there are two Candidates who meets the national spread, there will be Run-off between the Candidate with the Majority votes and the Candidate who meets the national spread with higher Votes.

The one who has 25% in 24 states is the winner . That is the basic condition for presidential electoral victory in Nigeria

When you're practicing absolute majority, you don't even need a certain percent in majority of states. Absolute majority already shows that you have the support of majority of the electorate.

GEJ got 22,495,187 and Buhari got 12,214,853 in 2011, thus winning the majority vote.

What are you saying?
