As part of events by the European Union to mark the one-year anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, WeDontHaveTime AB (publ), a social network for climate action, has published an op-ed article in Stockholm, Sweden by Professor Aniebiet Inyang Ntui, the Ambassador of the European Climate Pact, addressing the impact of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on the environment.

The article sheds light on the severe environmental damage caused by the ongoing conflict, including the destruction of critical ecosystems, the release of pollutants into the air and water, and the displacement of people and wildlife.

The article emphasizes the global threat posed by the environmental destruction caused by the conflict, as the release of pollutants into the air contributes to global warming, and the loss of biodiversity affects the functioning of ecosystems worldwide.

Aniebiet Inyang Ntui, the author of the op-ed article, is a Nigerian diplomat and professor who has served as the Ambassador of the EU’s European Climate Pact since December 2022. She has chaired panels at various international conferences, including the 2022 United Nations Biodiversity Conference, the 2022 G20 Bali Summit, and the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference. She was named by the Web of Science as the “Most Read Researcher in Nigeria” and is the current University Librarian at the University of Calabar, Nigeria.

The article highlights the urgent need for peaceful solutions that prioritize the health of the environment and biodiversity, as the world confronts the challenges of the climate and biodiversity crises. It is a reminder that the ongoing conflict in Ukraine has far-reaching environmental consequences that must be addressed. The author urges the global community to take action to promote peaceful solutions that prioritize environmental protection and biodiversity conservation.

Overall, the op-ed article provides important insights into the environmental impact of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and underscores the need for urgent action to protect the environment and biodiversity. It is an important reminder that the environment is a crucial aspect of international conflicts and must be taken into account in efforts to promote peace and stability.

It is what is it and that is why it is called war. They both in the fight together and since Russia is stronger then Ukraine better surrender instead being use as a pawn by the west to indirectly fight Russia undecided
