Samuel Ortom, governor of Benue, has lost his senatorial bid to Titus Zam, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate. Rufus Shaato, the returning officer for Benue north-west senatorial election, announced the results on Monday at the INEC local government collation centre in Makurdi, the state capital. In a race to clinch the state’s north-west senatorial seat, Zam raked in 143,151 votes to defeat Ortom who got 106,882 votes. Ortom had earlier said he was ready to lose his bid to ensure Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) wins the presidential election. The Benue governor is also part of a five-member group of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) — G-5 governors — who are at loggerheads with the national leadership of the party. TheCable had, on Saturday, reported how Ortom cast his vote for Obi in the presidential election at his polling unit in Tse-Ortom, Mzondu ward, Guma LGA of the state. https://www.thecable.ng/just-in-apcs-titus-zam-defeats-ortom-to-clinch-senate-seat/amp |

Wether Ortom looses or not, he has proven one thing; and that is ,he is a man of his words. From today on I will start taking Ortom more serious than than loud mouth Wike. I can't believe I was actually fooled to believe WIKE actions was for the south interest unknown to me the 419 was fighting for his stomach. Buhari also deceived us into thinking he got our back and that the election will be free and fair only for us to discover we have been played. I can't believe people qued up in a line under hot sun to vote APC again after 8 yrs of suffering (to reinforce failure)! I know finding weird humans is possible but never knew we have them in Mass in Nigeria. For once I thought we would get it right but it clearly obvious we the citizens are comfortable with suffering because of deep rooted corruption and tribalism. What will I tell my friends abroad when they start calling? That we have more fools than sensible people in Nigeria. This is the worst time to be a Nigerian. As it stands now I have given up Nigeria. |

God punish those g5 betrayals. I love how they re collecting wotowoto. Makinde too is gone already in Oyo. How will APC clear 3 senate seats and about 10 reps under ur nose. You're as gone as good. God bless Adeleke. He stood his ground in his state. |

Tor, alihamdulillah. Ortom already said he doesn’t mind sacrificing his senatorial ambition to make sure LP wins the presidential election in his state. So, congratulations to the winner. |

Danisaint112: Nigerians no longer voting for parties we vote for people of our choice. Tinubu is not Buhari ,Buhari is not Tinubu it is true they are from the same party . You can be in one party but your agenda may be different to the party agenda. Buhari during his swearing he said " I am for all , iam for no body" Which means he does what he thinks is good not what people would tell him to do |

Ayomivic: There is no sense in choosing a personality like Tinubu over Peter Obi if not for tribalism. The difference is beyond clear. We are talking; Integrity, good track record, humility, responsible and responsive, energetic and agile, Proactive, Age difference, Good behaviour and character, and the likes compared to Tinubu who is the total opposite (no hate but fact). Regarding the parties you talked about; how do you fix/minimize corruption in the entire country with a corruption consumed party? How do you build a house with a very faulty foundation? It will definitely collapse over and over again and you will keep funding and even borrowing to keep building a disaster foolishly. It seems you guys don't get it, Buhari of today is way agile than Tinubu, even before he got into power in 2015. Tinubu presidency means Shettima's presidency. Would you like to be ruled by a Boko Haram sympathizer and apologist? If you are a Christian you should ask yourself this; Who will speak for Christians when the effect of the same faith ticket start playing out? Because this is definitely going to happen. Well the deed is already done. I have just continued my Japa plan. I can't and won't endure this nonsense with you guys again. and yes I very ready to face racism where I am going knowing fully well it is nothing compared to what we face here in the name of tribalism. 😑 |

lhordspy:Hahahaha!! After Jagban is officially declared winner, I am waiting for those that are planning to Japan. Thankfully APC has enough broom to sweep their feet off the airport. As for the ones that would be denied VISA. They can locate Niger or Benin Republic |
